How Horizon Staging collects, uses and protects your information.
Effective October 15, 2026
In short: Your business data is yours. We use it to run Horizon Staging for you, we don't sell it, and we only share it with the providers needed to deliver the service (like our payment processor). You can ask for a copy or deletion at any time.
Horizon Staging is a product of Edutrack Computer Training College, Kalomo, Southern Province, Zambia ("we", "our", or "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use our point of sale, inventory, and mobile money booth platform, and what we do with it. It is written to align with the Data Protection Act No. 3 of 2021 of the Republic of Zambia.
When you record a debtor, customer or employee in Horizon Staging, you are responsible for that information and for having a lawful reason to store it. We process it only on your behalf, to provide the service to you.
We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us run Horizon Staging, and only as far as they need to do their job:
We may also disclose information where required by law or a valid order from a Zambian authority.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), role-based access controls, PIN-protected sensitive actions, and an append-only mobile money ledger that cannot be silently edited. No system is ever completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to limit access to it.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active, and for as long afterwards as we need to for legal, tax or accounting reasons. You can ask us to delete your data, subject to those obligations.
You can delete your account yourself, in the app with Delete account, just below Sign out or on the web at https://staging.horizonshoptracker.com/account/delete. A staff account is deleted immediately. When a business's only owner deletes their account, the business is closed and its records are permanently deleted within 30 days, except payment records we must keep for tax purposes.
Subject to Zambian law, you may ask us to:
To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below.
Horizon Staging is a business tool intended for people aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, let you know through the service.
